In line with its academic and developmental mission, the University launched its second Strategic Plan for the period 2024–2028. The Plan’s ambitious vision and mission are founded upon investing in available human capabilities, sustaining them, and enhancing the University’s competitiveness in a manner that promotes excellence in scientific research and academic achievement, while advancing the higher education system and ensuring the quality and sustainability of its outcomes. The Plan is built upon eight strategic goals that define the University’s values and guide its academic and institutional direction. These goals are represented in developing a competitive graduate, fostering an innovative researcher, ensuring sustainable resources, creating an attractive and supportive environment, achieving institutional excellence, advancing digital transformation, promoting an engaged community, and reinforcing firmly rooted values that contribute to building a conscious and responsible national character. Through these strategic goals, the University has sought to align its second Strategic Plan with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and to keep pace with the New Universities System, thereby strengthening its role as an active partner in building and developing human capabilities and equipping them with distinguished qualifications and competencies in knowledge, skills, and thought. The Plan carries the slogan: “Our Capabilities Are Our Future.”
